Health Connect Career Center offers a comprehensive CNA training program designed to equip individuals with the essential skills for a rewarding healthcare career. The program spans four weeks and adopts a hybrid learning approach, combining self-paced online modules with hands-on skills and clinical training.
The course structure is organized into four weekends. The first two weekends involve self-paced online learning during weekdays, with in-person skills training sessions on Saturdays and Sundays. The third weekend focuses on in-person skills training on Saturday and clinical training on Sunday. The final weekend concludes the program with additional clinical training, solidifying readiness for CNA roles.
Clinical experience is a pivotal aspect of the program, with mandatory three-day clinicals scheduled towards the end of the course. These clinicals provide practical exposure at designated healthcare facilities, allowing students to apply learned skills in real-world scenarios.
Prospective students must meet specific criteria for enrollment, including being 16 years or older, possessing a valid photo ID, Social Security card, completing a criminal background check, and providing recent negative PPD (TB test) or chest x-ray results. Some clinical facilities may require flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.
The tuition of $1,700 covers a range of resources, such as lab supplies, job placement assistance, American Heart Association CPR e-handbook, CPR training, student ID badge, uniform, blood pressure kit, and the state exam testing fee. Notably, participants are responsible for acquiring close-toe white shoes.
The payment plan includes a $200 non-refundable registration fee, $750 due five business days before the course start date, and an additional $750 due in week 3. Successful completion of the CNA course makes participants eligible for the state certification exam, a crucial step in advancing their healthcare careers.
